Solo is
a large polar bear. He is made from wonderful, dense alpaca. The
reverse of the alpaca has been airbrushed charcoal grey to represent
a polar bears real skin colour. Solo has a brand new head pattern,
incorporating raised eyebrows. When you run your hand over his head,
you can actually feel the contours of his eye brows. You cannot stop
stroking this bears head, he looks so alive. This bear is made from
well over 70 individual pattern pieces... madness!
Solo is
a 12 jointed bear. He has a double-jointed neck to allow him to look
up and down. He also has double-jointed front paws which allow him
to sit with his paws facing downwards and then with a quick flip, he
can turn them to right angles to 'walk' on all fours. His back
ankles are also jointed.
Solo
is firmly stuffed with poly and weighted with steel shot. He has 3-D
paw pads nestled deep into trimmed alpaca. Each paw is trimmed,
needle sculpted and airbrushed to create his fabulous look.
Solo has a realistic 3-D, hand
embroidered nose together with a stitched lip. His head is
extensively scissor clipped and airbrushed to bring out his features. He is
finished with small black glass eyes. Solo is a true one off bear,
hence his name. If Solo looks familiar, you may have seen this
handsome brute on the front cover of
Teddybear Club International in
November 2007, in fact he's showing the magazine off to you in the
photo below...
Solo
measures 25" sitting and 32" head to toe.
